|
1 Arc Lightning
4 Avalanche Riders
4 Bottle Gnomes
4 Stone Rain
2 Viashino Heretic
|
| Sligh loses Incinerate
and Ball Lightning but it still is on par with the other decks of
the format. Hammer of Bogardan is about as good as Arc Lightning
depending on what you are matched up against. This version has 16
land destruction after sideboarding making it a scary match up for
any deck. |

|
| This deck loses
Mana Vault but gains Vampiric Tutor and Prosperity. Going to zero
life is no longer safe under 6th edition rules so the Ancient Tombs
become City of Traitors. This deck will appear with many small changes
just like Academy and High Tide decks did over the past winter. |

|
| Survival of the
Fittest along with a plethora of different creatures will continue
to be popular until Survival leaves Standard. The exact choice of
creatures will vary depending on what you expect to play against,
but for a well rounded field a well rounded deck like this one will
be perfect. |

4 Yawgmoth's Will
LAND (23)
20 Swamp
3 Wasteland
|
|
| Necro and Pox have both left
type 2. This hurts black control a lot, but if you focus on what
stays you can still make an interesting deck with what is left.
People will take full advantage of Yawgmoth's Will. This means playing
inexpensive spells. Unfortunately Urza's Bauble is gone and so is
Nevinyrral's Disk. Here are all the remaining good black cards.
It ends up looking like a Necropotence Deck without the Necropotence. |

LAND (22)
4 Brushland
5 Forest
7 Plains
4 Treetop Village
2 Vec Townships
|
|
| This deck takes
advantage of the Moss Diamond and Marble Diamond which have been
reprinted in Classic (Sixth Edition). The efficient creatures
like the famous Maro (named after expansion set designer Mark Rosewater)
and the River Boa. With red burn being the primary source of removal
these 2 creatures are very strong now. |

1 Quash
1 Humility
1 Grindstone
2 Spirit Link
1 Warmth
1 Wasteland
|
| This UW control
deck is a throwback to the old days of counterpost. Making use of
Caltrops from UD it metagames towards weenie decks, while the 13
counterspells allows it to fight combo decks. The Enlightened Tutor
allows the deck to find its win card against many decks (Humility,
ROP - Red, Sacred Ground, Caltrops, or even Spirit Link). Note the
synergy between Humility and Caltrops. |

well and is capable of turn 2 kills. |
