Masters Series

Invitation List

The Masters Series is an invitation-only tournament to be held in conjunction with Pro Tour-New York. The 32-person field is composed of the Top 25 players based on the Pro Tour-New York 1999/2000 Pro Standing, the Top 5 DCI rated Extended players (based on the ratings published 8/14/00), and the Top 2 finishers of the Gateway Tournament (see below).

The Masters Series Gateway Tournament is open to all players with 6 or more Pro Points as of the Pro Tour-New York 1999/2000 Pro Standing. The Gateway Tournament awards two invitations to the Masters Series which immediately follows the Gateway Tournament. The format of the Gateway Tournament is the same as the format of the Master Series Tournament, which is single-elimination Extended Constructed.

The Gateway Tournament and the first two rounds of the Master Series Tournament will be held at Neutral Ground New York.

Registration for the Gateway Tournament begins at 8:00 AM on Thursday, September 28 and the tournament begins at 9:00 AM sharp. There is no admission charge for the Gateway Tournament.

Masters Series Schedule

After the Gateway Tournament has been completed, the Masters Series will begin at Neutral Ground New York. Spectators are encouraged.

PLEASE NOTE Pro Tour registration for the Masters Series Competitors will occur from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Thursday, September 28, 2000 at Neutral Ground. Players who are not in the Masters Series must go to Madison Square Garden to register from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Thursday, September 28, 2000.
