Each week, CMDR Decks over on GatheringMagic.com does a video review of a Commander deck, detailing each card choice and going through how each card plays. One recent deck of choice? Fumiko the Lowblood!
Fumiko plays very differently in Commander as opposed to a normal one-on-one game. Often in Commander, players will accrue creatures but not attack early on for political reasons. Fumiko throws this all to the wind! She changes from a taunting Samurai to a political mastermind, forcing each of your opponents to attack at every opportunity. The goal: to not make your opponents attack you!
By creating a wall of large creatures, you can dissuade your opponents from attacking you. Your opponents will begin picking on each other—while you simply bide your time. If your opponents choose to not play any creatures, they will quickly be overwhelmed by those who do and are looking for someone open to attack. Once your opponents are at a low life total, you can move in and begin to finish them off, one by one.
Fumiko takes an interesting turn in Commander play that is both unusual and exciting. Check out the decklist below, and go take a look at the video on GatheringMagic.com detailing the card choices!
