Obould is fated for a great destiny among his people. Smarter and more intuitive than most of his kind, he completed many quests for his chieftain and his tribe's clerics before slaying the chieftain and taking control of his tribe. Skilled in the arts of war and capable of fierce rages, Obould is a terrible opponent in battle and has faced many challengers without suffering more than some attractive scarring. Over the years, he has subsumed other tribes into his own, and now has at his disposal a veritable army of over 2,000 orc warriors, as well as their wives and children.

Obould has four wives and eight sons approaching adulthood. He expects that the time will come soon enough when he must fight his upstart children to defend his throne, and he is ready for it. His only true fear is that after he is dead, they will fight each other and everything he has worked for will rust away. In preparation for this, he trains his warriors to discipline and plans to take hold of much of the Spine of the World and also the lowlands to the south of it. This dreamed-of orcish empire would be large enough that he could grant a piece to each of his surviving sons, and his legacy would survive. War is on the horizon in the north, led by a sharp-eyed barbarian with a sword of fire.

Why is Obould Rich Baker's favorite villain? Find out in the Realmswatch Roundtable!
