Bring Gen Con Home!

Was Gen Con only a month ago? It seems like we’ve only just finished unpacking from the show! And while they were unpacking, game designers Bruce Cordell and Jonathan Tweet discovered extra copies of the handouts they passed out to audience members at some of their seminars. So, in case you missed "Psionics in Third Edition" with Bruce, or "Min-Max Your New Third Edition D&D Character," "What’s a DM to Do Now?" and "To 20th Level -- and Beyond!" with Jonathan, check out these seminar handouts and enjoy a little of the convention right now.

Min-Max Your New 3E D&D Character
Friday, August 11, 10 a.m.

Talk about the strategies behind building your character. Whether you’re into min/maxing, detailed roleplaying, or just building your own 3rd Edition D&D hero, this seminar will examine many of the new features of advanced character generation, including multiclassing, feats and skills, and prestige clases. Chacter generation software developed by Fluid.

Psionics in Third Edition
Friday, August 11, 2 p.m.

"I'd say the seminar went well," Bruce recalls. "It certainly was packed, with standing room only, like most of the third edition seminars. A sore point was the lack of handouts for all attending. Hopefully, posting it to the web will ameliorate hard feelings."

What are fans saying about Bruce’s Psionics Handbook, due out in March? "Based on comments I've seen on the net since the seminar, many people are excited," he said, "but others have already decided they won't like it. I believe they'll revise their opinion once they have the final product in hand, and I'm looking forward to that day."

What’s a DM to Do Now?
Saturday, August 12, 10 a.m.

The Sage, Skip Williams, and his panel of experts answer all your DM-ing questions regarding 3rd edition rules, tactics, strategies, and general advice.

To 20th Level -- and Beyond!
Saturday, August 12, 2 p.m.

"And my 40th-level paladin has six holy avengers." Seriously, how will 3rd edition D&D handle level advancement beyond the magic "level 20" limit? We’re going to have characters that go beyond 20th-level at some point (either that or you can tell Elminster why he’s suddenly lost power)…but we want to do it right.
