Model: Gnoll Monk
Faction: Naresh
Why It Rocks: The Gnoll Monk is a bag-of-tricks hero, the closest thing Naresh has to a player-character-style badass who can run like the wind, tumble past enemy troops, and eliminate enemy spellcasters and leaders before they know what hit them.
Tips and Tactics: The Gnoll Monk is not a leader, so you need a commander near your Monks or within line of sight. But you may need only one leader to send an entire monastery flying all over the board to where you most need them.
Certain scenarios, such as "Kill the Leader" and "Blood Harvest," were made to order for the Monks combination of speed and durability. Even "Capture the Hall" scenarios get a lot easier when you know you can count on a Monks last-second rush to keep you in the game.
Best yet, the Gnoll Monks stunning attacks often cripple the actions of your enemys best models.
Enemies Who Hate to See It: Commanders who cant fight in melee to save their own lives run from Gnoll Monks. These models also prove highly effective against: (1) warbands that count on pinning down the opposition with superior numbers, and (2) warbands that count on a single high-cost, living (and therefore stunnable) model to deliver a high percentage of their damage.
