Model: Dwarf Zealot
Faction: Mordengard
Why It Rocks: The Dwarf Zealot inflicts melee damage 3 with one hit, its Fearless, and you can fit a lot of em into a warband.
Tricks and Tactics: Dwarf Zealots arent easy to control, so you cant be subtle or tricky with them. Enemies willing to sacrifice minor models to draw off Zealots can keep your models from fighting the enemies they should attack, unless youre prepared to just let a Zealot stand on turns you dont have the command to maneuver it. On the bright side, the Zealot is a bit speedier than the rest of the dwarves.
Zealots are extremely tough in melee, but that threat, combined with their low armor, means theyre usually your enemys first target. Your goal is to eliminate more of the enemy models than youve lost by the time youve lost the Zealot. One of the best ways to increase the Zealots longevity is to play them with the Dwarf Hammer Priest. The Priests endurance +2 spell work well on a Fearless models like the Zealot, because you can count on getting the spells full benefit. No single Dwarf Zealot can benefit from more than one endurance spell, so play with more than one Zealot.
Enemies Who Hate to See It: Warbands with non-Fearless models that have less than 7 health dont like to see the Zealot coming.
