Model: Gallowsgaunt
Faction: Ahmuts Legion
Why It Rocks: It scares the bejeezus out of most everyone who can be scared, for extremely low cost compared to other Scary models.
Tricks and Tactics: Low armor and low health arent the only reasons the Gallowsgaunt is not a front-line troop. Since its strength lies in its ability to rout other models simply by contacting them, its best employed toward the end of a battle when the enemy has taken casualties and damage, raising the morale save DC. The Gallowsgaunt is most effective when protected by stronger models or sitting behind a ranged attack warband.
Another option is to team up the Gallowsgaunt with darkness casters. Darkness prevents the Gallowsgaunt from being targeted at a distance, but not from making contact with enemies inside the darkness.
Enemies Who Hate to See It: Warbands composed entirely of low-cost and low-level models have big problems with the Gallowsgaunt. So do melee-oriented commanders who count on winning the endgame by themselves in hand-to-hand struggle after their supporting troops have been slain or routed.
