Chainmail Set 2: Human Warriors
By Bruce R. Cordell and Rob Heinsoo
Model: Human Warriors
Why It Rocks: Every army needs a core of reliable troops, easily commanded and cheap to bring to the table. The Human Warrior fits that bill for Thalos.
Tricks and Tactics: Human Warriors are almost as cheap as they come, but with their 17 armor, they have a decent chance of avoiding a strike. Include at least one Human Warrior in your warband, if only to pump up your models and provide a +2 flanking bonus when you cluster three or more figures around an enemy. Because hes fragile, maneuver your Human Warrior into contact with the enemy model at the end of the turn.
Another tactic the Human Warrior can fulfill is simply to serve as a lure. Since hes cheap, you can send him out away from your real objective in an attempt to draw enemy models that are out of command toward him. Even if you cant get any takers on that diversion, putting two Human Warriors out in front of your most important models guarantees that the enemy must spend 4 command points to target any models other than those two.
