Set 2: Skeletal Dwarf Soldier
By Bruce R. Cordell and Rob Heinsoo

Model:
Skeletal Dwarf Soldier
Faction:
Ahmuts Legion
Why
It Rocks: When Ahmuts Legion wins on the field, it repairs any
losses with the bodies of its enemies. Mordengards fallen dwarves
make particularly useful undead pawns, obedient and hard to drop -- theyre
already dead.
Tricks
and Tactics: You have at least two choices when considering adding
a Skeletal Dwarf Soldier to your warband. You could add one simply to
sop up a few extra points you have to spend -- the Skeletal Dwarf Soldier
is cheap at 5. With its Skeletal ability to avoid some blows, its low
health score could give it an "undead" vitality far above average.
The other
choice is to embrace the low cost of these units and bring several to
the table. A swarm of these models can put down one good enemy, or at
least slow that enemy down. They are not difficult to command, so they
go where your commander wants them. For instance, you could throw at least
three Skeletal Dwarf Soldiers at the same enemy (to get the +2 flanking
bonus). Odds are, youll strike at least once per round. Actually,
if you can bring two Skeletal Dwarves and one tougher model, such as the
Ghoul, into contact with the same enemy, youll still get the flanking
bonus -- plus the enemy is more likely to focus on the tougher model first,
allowing your Skeletal Dwarves to live on.
Enemies
Who Hate to See It: Everyone hates to see skeletal models -- bring
one to the table for that demoralizing effect alone.
