Why It Rocks: The Bugbear Trooper is a cheap 8-point model that provides solid support to your warband. It can scent its enemies within 12 inches, whether in light or dark, which sometimes makes the difference between victory and defeat.
Tricks & Tactics: Because Bugbear Troopers are cheap for their 17 armor and 3 health, include at least one in your warband. They are not difficult troops, so a commander can easily maneuver one into contact with an opposing model already engaged with two other models (which grants each the standard +2 flanking bonus). Bring up the Bugbear Trooper last if it is the least robust of the three, to protect your flanking bonus as long as possible. The Trooper has one thrown weapon, which is easy to forget about, but use it if possible.
Enemies Who Hate to See It: Because Bugbear Troopers deal blunt damage, skeletal creatures are far more vulnerable to a Bugbear Trooper than other similarly priced models.
