Golems 201 -- A Historical Reference
Reading List
By Mark A. Jindra

Some unique golems (half-golem, mechanical golem) appear in the second Ravenloft Monstrous Compendium Appendix and Children of the Night: Created. A Thayan golem appears in Monster Compendium: Monsters of Faerûn, along with converted gemstone golems. You can find the Psion-Killer (crystal golem) in the Psionics Handbook. And, of course, the new Monster Manual includes the four classic golems. The wax golem appears in its 3rd edition form on our website in the November Cliffhangers adventure.

In addition, there are four golems in the 3rd edition D&D game Diablo II: Diablerie (and repeated in Diablo II: To Hell and Back): bone, fire, iron, and clay. The Diablo iron and clay golems are the not similar to those with the same names in the Monster Manual. Finally, Diablo II: The Awakening (2nd edition rules) had a golem spell in it as well.

Here is a comprehensive list of golems from past D&D and AD&D products.
