Feats

College Life allows the use all feats from Chapter 5 of the Player’s Handbook except Armor Proficiencies. New feats are introduced below.

Brain

All Knowledge skills (except social life) are class skills.

Business Major

Prerequisite: Selected business and Knowledge (major)

Your financial skills enable you to sell used items at 60% of list price. You can sell newly created items at 125% of their listed value.

Normal: You can sell used items at 50% of list price and newly created items at 100% of listed value.

Change Major

You change your focus of study.

Benefit: You may change your designated major for Knowledge (major) as many times as you like. You retain all your ranks in your previous Knowledge (major) skill, but designate a new major for all subsequent skill points.

Normal: Once set, the major for Knowledge (major) may not change.

Class Clown

You make people laugh.

Benefit: You get a +2 bonus on all Perform checks and Knowledge (social life) checks.

Cool Part-Time Job

You have a prestigious part-time job such as an underwear model, psychology test subject, or a games software beta tester.

Benefit: You get a +2 bonus on all Bluff checks and Knowledge (social life) checks.

Normal: You can use either Craft or Profession skills to make money. Alternatively, you can work 20 hours at a minimum-wage job.

Double Major

You add a second focus of study.

Benefit: You may select a second designated major for Knowledge (major). You buy ranks in each skill individually. Having five or more ranks in one Knowledge (major) gives you a +2 synergy bonus to your other major.

Normal: Without this skill, characters have one major for Knowledge (major) may not change.

Generous/Gullible Roommate

Your roommate has lots of cool stuff.

Benefit: You may borrow up to $500 per character level of equipment from your roommate for an adventure. If the equipment is destroyed, you will have to pay your roommate back. If charges/doses/uses are consumed, you must pay the proportionate cost. You may not borrow more equipment from your roommate if you owe him money.

Magically Inclined

You have an aptitude for magic.

Benefit: Knowledge (occult) is always a class skill. You may enter prestige classes requiring spellcasting ability. In addition, select two of the following 0-level spells from the Player’s Handbook to know. You can cast two per day—cure minor wounds, daze, detect magic, flare, guidance, read magic, resistance, virtue. These are cast as arcane spells that need no preparation.

Special: You can take this feat multiple times to learn new spells or increase the number of castings per day for spells already selected.

Party Dude

You know how to have a good time.

Benefit: You gain +2 to Knowledge (social life) checks and Party checks.

SCA Member

You belong to the Society for Creative Anachronism.

Benefit: You gain a +2 bonus on all Craft checks and Knowledge (history) checks.

SCA Armor

You wear and fight in various types of armor at Society for Creative Anachronism events.

Prerequisite: SCA Member

Benefit: You are proficient with all types of armor and shields

SCA Weapons

You fight at various SCA events and practice with other members.

Prerequisite: SCA Member

Benefit: You are proficient with all simple and martial weapons.

Scholarship Student

Your educational career is fully funded.

Benefit: You do not have to pay tuition or the cost to create dissertation golems.

Special: Outside the school setting, this feat has no effect.

Redshirt Year

You’re a jock who knows a great deal about playing one sport. Even sitting on the sidelines teaches you stuff.

Prerequisite: Jock character class

Benefit: You gain a +2 bonus to Knowledge (sports) checks and Sports checks for your chosen activity.

Teacher’s Pet

You know how to influence people in authority.

Benefit: You get a +2 bonus on all Diplomacy checks and Sense Motive checks.
