PAX is a three-day game festival for tabletop, videogame, and PC gamers. We call it a festival because in addition to dedicated tournaments and freeplay areas we've got nerdcore concerts, panel discussions, the weekend-long Omegathon event, and an exhibitor hall filled with booths displaying the latest from top game publishers and developers.

Our ever-popular Dungeons & Dragons play area will be brimming with games and good times at PAX Prime from August 26-28 in Seattle. Come join us for all the danger, thrills, and fun as we continue our journey in the city of Neverwinter! Check out our highlights below, and for more details, see our list of important links at the bottom of this article.

Where It’s At

The D&D gaming this year will be at the Conference Center, located at 8th and Pike in downtown Seattle (right across the street from the Convention Center). All the official D&D events will be on the lower level – we’ll be there to greet you right as you walk in the door! Doors open at 10 am each day, and gaming starts at 11 am each day.

No Sign Ups – Just Line Ups!

This year at PAX Prime, we’ll be dispensing with signups in the D&D area. Instead, we’ll have first-come, first-served lines set up for all of the games offered. It’s recommended you show up at least 15-30 minutes before an event’s start time. For very popular events, such as the DM’s Challenge and Gardmore Abbey Preview, you’ll want to be there even earlier.

We have a number of great Neverwinter D&D games set up for PAX Prime, including a special catch-up D&D Encounters session! Check ‘em out, and make sure you pick up your tickets quick when you arrive at the show.

Dungeons & Dragons experience that will be taking place during PAX Prime at the historic Paramount Theater in Seattle: "The Last Will and Testament of James Darkmagic I" Starring: Wil Wheaton, Jerry Holkins, Mike Krahulik, Scott Kurtz, and Chris Perkins Please note that PAX badges are required to attend. Admission is on a first-come-first-served basis.

We have a number of great Neverwinter D&D games set up for PAX Prime, including a special catch-up D&D Encounters session!

D&D Encounters: Lost Crown of Neverwinter Catch-up	Friday & Saturday 1 pm, 6 pm; Sunday 11 am	Experience the first three sessions of Lost Crown of Neverwinter, the current D&D Encounters campaign playing at local stores each Wednesday. Earn gold and experience, and take your character back to your local store to continue the adventure! You can create your own 1st-level character using rules provided on-site or grab one of our pre-generated characters. This game is a 5-hour D&D 4th Edition play experience.
D&D DM’s Challenge: Neverwinter	Saturday 7 pm	A fabled city straddled between order and chaos, where factions vie for glory and adventurers find danger where they least expect it. Neverwinter is here! The DM’s Challenge is a special one-time event running only at PAX Prime. DMs bring their best and most dangerous 3rd-level Neverwinter-themed adventures for you to conquer; rate your play experience to determine the best adventure of the evening! 3rd-level characters are provided. A 4-hour D&D 4th Edition play experience.
D&D Adventure Board Game Challenge Featuring the Legend of Drizzt	Friday & Saturday 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm, 5 pm, 7 pm, 9 pm; Sunday 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm	Want to play a D&D game without a DM? Like cooperative games? Come take the challenge of the D&D Adventure Games. Pick Castle Ravenloft, Wrath of Ashardalon, or a special preview of Legend of Drizzt, and see if your team can get a high score!

D&D Convention Delve: Shatter the Iron Circle	Friday 11 am – 11 pm; Saturday 11 am – 11 pm; Sunday 11 am – 4 pm	A deadly band of mercenaries has taken control of a peaceful settlement, extorting and preying upon the beleaguered villagers. Can you find their lair, confront their monstrous allies, and defeat them before the town is laid to waste? A 1st-level D&D convention delve with characters provided. Play as often as you like – earn treasure and prizes! This game is a 1-hour D&D 4th Edition play experience.
D&D Madness at Gardmore Abbey Preview: The Siege of Gardmore Abbey	Friday 7 pm	During the golden age of the lands of Nerath, a bastion of civilization known as Gardmore Abbey was home to the greatest knights and its most valuable riches, including the fabled Deck of Many Things. However, a mysterious leader known as “Nightbringer” and his orc horde threaten the walls of the great citadel. You are a band of adventurers, called together from your easy living in the reserves, to aid Gardmore in its time of need. This official D&D adventure serves as a preview to the upcoming Madness at Gardmore Abbey boxed adventure. 6th-level characters are provided. This game is 4-hour D&D 4th Edition play experience.
