Delve Memories
From
GEN CON 1999
"A
party of adventurers has taken some hits and regroups
in a central room (this is in one of the Special Missions
with the Dwarven Forge/Master Maze walls). One door
leads down a long corridor to a room with a sarcophagus
at one end (topped by a skull) and stone statues lining
the walls. Three characters move to the entrance to
that room. One, a cleric, casts spiritual hammer
and uses it to whack the skull on the sarcophagus.
The skull rises into the air, screams, and two of
the three characters fail their saves and die.
"I
ask the ranger, who is in the main room with the rest
of the party watching all of this, what he wants to
do. I close the door. "

Grab
a character and fight your way through the dreadful AD&D
Dungeon Delve, wherein unmentionable beasts cavort, awful
rites pay homage to a flaming fiend from Hell itself, and
desperate adventurers yearn for the sun that
they may never see again. Characters can return for even
more adventures and glory . . . if they survive.
For
the last two years, the Dungeon Delve has been the most
popular roleplaying event at the Wizards castle at the Gen
Con game fair. See what all the excitement's about with
our online reproduction of the dungeon used throughout the
convention in 1999, complete with characters and hazards
aplenty!
We
have provided downloads
of the Maps, Room Descriptions, and Characters so that you
can download them and play the delve with your friends.
There is also an interactive
map online and a message
board where you can post your own delve stories.
