The new D&D Psionics Handbook is coming your way next March,
so, as you might guess, the new psionics system has been very hot
in playtesting. Although many of the groups working on it gave us
a lot of nice feedback, one of them, led by longtime RPGA member
Kevin Kulp, really threw its heart and soul into working over the
new system.

Our Thoughts on the Psionics
Handbook
Character classes: We like the breakout and general concept
of the classes, despite the alignment restrictions that were present
in the earliest draft. We like that different disciplines are tied
to different ability scores, although this was confusing at first
when picking the powers. We like the fact that psionics have been
broken out into two classes. This makes both the combat-happy players
and the pure psionics players happy.
Feats: Inertial Armor -- I don't have to be a Seer to guess
that this will become one of the most-taken feats. Many of the other
psionic feats are just as cool.
Powers: A mixed bag, with some very cool powers.
Equipment: We love the psi-crystals! And the dorjes were
cool too -- once we looked up what a dorje was.
