Playtest
Group of the Month
(January / Feburary)

By
Kim Mohan, Playtest Coordinator
Our
first Playtest Group of the Month for the year 2000
is also the first group we've highlighted that livs
outside the United States. It has been a great pleasure
for me to work with and communicate with David Roberts
and his merry band of Britishers. David's reports are
always impeccably organized (which makes my job easier),
and he has a way of expressing criticism that makes
it easy to take.
I'll always remember David's group not only for their
criticism but also for their compliments. These folks
were not at all reluctant to mention when they *liked*
something about the new rules-and of course it makes
us feel good to find out that we did a few things right
(grin).
Now,
the members tell you a bit about themselves. . . .

Quote
of the Week:
|
(In
response to the following question, which was
sent out to all playtest groups as part of a
survey: Tell us what you think about how halfling
and gnome characters are treated regarding size,
specifically in that their ACs and attack bonuses
change, their equipment, armor and weapon weights
and prices change, and that their weapons inflict
different amounts of damage.)
"This
is wonderful. It works really well, is more
logical, and finally ends the bastard sword
used in two hands by a gnome debate."
