"Horning In" is a Star Wars Roleplaying Game adventure for four 10th-level heroes of any persuasion. The adventure's set in the Rebellion era, but it can be modified easily to work in any other era of play as well. Although the villain of the story flies a ship described in Starships of the Galaxy and the scenario calls for a capital ship that also could be taken from the pages of that accessory, the book isn't required to run this adventure.
The rumor mill has been grinding out stories lately about a new fuel mixture component for sublight engines called a Quadronomic Fluxer. If rumors are to be believed, Fluxers can improve sublight speed by as much as 20 percent. Both the Rebellion and the Empire would be willing to risk a lot to find out if it's legitimate -- and to keep it out of the hands of the other group. That's where the heroes come in.
The plans for the Fluxer are hidden within a shipyard orbiting the planet Nessem, in the Expansion Region of the galaxy. Either as agents of the Rebellion or on their own, the heroes must travel to the main station of the Nessem Shipyard, hook up with an undercover contact there, and retrieve the plans. But they'd better take care - if the Quadronomic Fluxer is real, it just might be a secret worth killing for . . . Preview the adventure! Download now! (276k PDF) |
