This Month's BattleZone Format
April Season Kit
 This kit is to be used only during the month of April 2003. Be sure to sanction all of the BattleZone events you want to sanction for April by the 20th of this month. If this is the first month you have are running BattleZone and you want to sanction it, please get your forms into the DCI as early as possible in March.
April Season Tournament Format
For the April Kit the suggested format for the sanctioned tournaments will be the Modified Pokémon constructed format. Details on this format are available in the Pokémon Floor Rules or in your Tournament Organizers Handbook. As the BattleZone Leader you are not required to use this format, it just what is recommended. You will know your local player base best so feel free to run what is best for your players.
Hitmonchan Classic Promo Card
The April Pokémon BattleZone kit comes with the Hitmonchan Best of Game promo card that was originally released as the “Winner” card in the February BattleZone kit. You may notice that the Hit Points on this card is different than the original Hitmonchan. Use the Hit Points of the version of the card your player is using at the time.
Best of Game Dark Ivysaur "Winner" Promo Card
The April BattleZone includes a new “Winner” stamped Dark Ivysaur. This card will become legal in the Modified format on April 1, 2003.
Super BattleZone succesful!
Thank you to all of the TO’s, Professors, and players who helped run and participate in the Super BattleZone events. Look for them to come again around the release of Skyridge in April/May.
