Tusmit is a land of opposites. The True Faith of Al'Akbar reigns supreme in the north, while the south is under the guidance of the Exalted Faith. The feral nomads of the Tusman hills contrast sharply with the civilized farmers of the Blashimund valley. The parched lands of Suvii, the rolling grasslands of Elisam, and the dark woods of the Udgru. Rectitude and Corruption. Passion and Cunning.
Tusmit is a land of mysticism and religion. Established churches play a major part in local politics, local government, and the day to day lives of the people. Al'Akbar is the most revered of all the Baklunish gods; Istus is not far behind, gaining worshippers by the day.
Tusmit has been in turmoil lately, with the country coming to the verge of a civil war pitting the forces of His Exalted Splendor, the Pasha Muammar Qharan, and those of the former Pasha Jadhim/orem. Muammar Quaran was able to reaffirm his autority in the end, but more trouble is looming on the horizon: the rebellious elves have retreated even further into the Udgru forest, where is new menace seems to be coming from the north; and a strange drought seems to be afflicting some of the poorest sheikdoms while others are paying the price for their support to Jadhim/orem.
Tusmit is a land of contrasts where anyone can make a mark. A land where opportunity favors the bold.
