The world of Hecatomb stands on the edge of the final apocalypse. The bulwarks of reality falter and fail, and sinister gods of primeval malice rise to consume the universe. In the end, only one hellish entity can reign supreme, and stand triumphant amidst the falling ashes of existence burning.

You are an endbringer. And you are trying to destroy the world.
Only one thing can stop you: the other evil geniuses who are trying to destroy it before you do. You are an endbringer, and so are they.
You wield power.
To some endbringers, antediluvian promises have been revealed: to he who can obliterate the universe, divine power is bequeathed, enough to recast existence in his own image. To this end, players need to tap the power of ancient gods of destruction, flirting with personal obliteration all the while. Other endbringers are but thralls to the evil gods they worship, mere servants to corrupt gods who desire their own ends. And some endbringers are maniacs who wish to usher in Armageddon because they are compelled by their own wrecked minds.
It's the modern-day world. But you have summoned up creatures of myth and nightmare.
Under the endbringers control are ravenous beasts, wicked shapeshifters, revolting undead, black-hearted fey, fiery demons, and wild-eyed cultists.
You combine these creatures into unspeakable hybrid abominations.
One endbringer's abominations fight the others', and the abominations that win channel power to their masters. With enough power, an endbringer can destroy the world
When one world is destroyed, the endbringers travel through dimensional portals to other, parallel worlds, where the contest begins again.
If you can cast spells, channel soul energy, summon mythological creatures, combine those creatures into abominations, call up evil gods, and travel from a destroyed world to the next world that can be destroyed, you can be an endbringer.
