Tournament Structure

Modified Swiss. Cut to top four to determine an overall winner if you have enough time. If your event is over 32 players then cut to a final eight instead.

Tournament Format

D&D Miniatures sealed (limited) format with 200-point warbands using the Assault scenario rules. Warbands are built from two Desert of Desolation Booster Packs. No faction rules apply as per sealed rules.

Assault Scenario

You must assault enemy territory and maneuver to keep your opponent’s warband out of your territory.

Victory: Victory goes to the first player to score victory points equal to the warband limit: 200 points in a 200-point skirmish. There are two ways to score victory points.

• Eliminating enemy creatures: As in the standard scenario, you score victory points equal to the cost of each eliminated model.
• Occupying at least one of your warband's victory areas: Your victory areas are usually (but not always) located on the opponent's side of the battle map. At the end of each round, if you have one or more creatures on one or more of your victory areas, you receive victory points. The award is 10 victory points in a 200-point skirmish. Each player can earn victory points in this way, but never more than the listed award in each round. A creature that occupies multiple squares is considered to be on a victory area if any part of its space is in a square within that area.

Rounds will be a maximum length of 60 minutes.

The tournament will be run according to the latest DCI Universal Tournament Rules, DCI Penalty Guidelines and all DCI rules pertaining to D&D Miniatures sealed (limited) tournament rules and Assault scenario rules, including all updates.

Each participant receives a Warhorse alternate-paint mini (while supplies last).
3rd-4th finishers get 2 Desert of Desolation Booster Packs each
2nd Place gets 3 Desert of Desolation Booster Packs
1st Place gets 5 Desert of Desolation Booster Packs
