Do I need a D&D Insider subscription to play 4th Edition?
No, you do not need D&D Insider to play 4th Edition D&D. A D&D Insider subscription will provide you access to the online magazines and tools, but these are simply new and compelling options to enhance your overall gaming experience. Dungeons & Dragons will fundamentally remain a pen-and-paper roleplaying game.

Will I be missing out on needed 4th Edition content if I don’t subscribe to D&D Insider?
