Q: On the cover of Player's Handbook 2 there is a man stealing the gem eye from what seems to be a giant brass idol. Could you please clarify what it is, where it should be, and what it is made out of?

A: Actually, Joseph, there is no definitive answer to this -- the artwork harkens back to the 1st edition PHB (as detailed in the D&D Alumni article), and was alluded to in Ed Greenwood's online fiction Oroon Rising.
