It was the second day of the Mercadian Masques Pre-Release. The tournament was run in a Swiss-style format with 6 rounds. We also had 7 side tournaments: 3 Sealed Decks, 4 Booster drafts.

The tournament started with Dan giving all the players directions on how to fill out the deck list. Dan also informed them of the tournament style.

The Tournament Organizer and staff did an outstanding job of preparing for the tournament. The tournament packs, booster packs, deck list and pen where placed in a small bag which made handing out the tournament packs simple and quick.

The players where mostly experienced players and the event went very smooth. Most of the questions that we answered were about damage and responding to damage. There was a group of players from south of St. Louis that attended and was unclear about the damage dealings and prevention in 6th edition. During the tournament and after the rounds the judges talked to them as a group and explained the rules for 6th edition. After the tournament they had a better understanding of damage. Of all 43 players, only one was at his first tournament. He enjoyed the day and I'm sure that we will see him in future tournaments.
