Shu Komuro is the Grand Prix - Yokohama Champion! Riding a tidal wave of red-white control, Komuro managed to survive countless mirror matches on his way to the Top 8. There, he met Yusuke Osaka and his Zombie-Bidding deck in the quarterfinals. The Biddings didn't come fast enough, and Komuro was clear to the semifinals. There he faced Masashiro Kuroda in the red-white mirror. Kuroda had already bested Kazuyuki Momose and his "Claw-style" red-white, and quickly took the first game from Komuro. However, Komuro was not easily defeated, and battled back to win the next two.
The other side of the bracket was full of upsets. Big names Shuuhei Nakamura and Masahiko Morita both lost their quarterfinal matches. Yuichi Yamagishi's goblins got the better of Morita, taking the deciding third game when Morita made an uncharacteristic error. Nakamura was swept by Kazuki Kato. Kato, however, came prepared for Goblins, and after losing the first game to drawing his expensive spells he waltzed over Yamagishi. However, his good fortune turned to defeat when he faced Komuro. He thought he would even the score in the second game, cycling a Decree of Annihilation with Akroma on the board, but Komuro stole the win with a cycled Decree of Justice, wowing the audience. Congratulations to Shu Komuro, Grand Prix - Yokohama Champion!
