Entry fee varies by location. Check with local organizer for specific information.
Tournament Date
All U.S. Regional Championships will be held on Saturday, May 20th. 2006, select Military locations on different designated dates.
All Universal Tournament Rules and Magic: the Gathering Floor Rules are in effect for this event unless specifically overruled by information in this Format Document
Format
- Standard-constructed format (DissensionTM will be legal)
- Deck lists are required
Invitations
- Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico U.S. Regional Championships all award 2 invitations to U.S. Nationals
- All other U.S. Regional Championships award 4 invitations to U.S. Nationals. (Exception: If the total attendance of an individual Regional is 410 players or higher, then the Regional Championship will award 8 invitations to U.S. Nationals)

- 50 minutes per round
- Number of Swiss rounds based on attendance according to the following chart:

Advancement
- All players may participate in all Swiss rounds
- If a Regional Championship offers 8 invitations to U.S. Nationals, no top 8 single-elimination will be run. Prizes and invitations will be awarded on Swiss standings only.
- If a Regional Championship offers 2 or 4 invitations to U.S. Nationals, the top 8 players after the final Swiss round will advance to the top 8 single-elimination finals.
Top 8
- Top 8 matches will be best 2 of 3
- Top 8 matches will have no time limit
- Regional Championships that offer 4 invitations to U.S. Nationals will have 1 single-elimination round to determine invitation and prizewinners. Regional Championships that offer 2 invitations to U.S. Nationals will have 2 single-elimination rounds to determine invitation and prizewinners.
- Where necessary, the standings after the Swiss rounds will still be used to determine final order in the standings

- Players are responsible for knowing all DCI rules
- Players must bring pen, paper, card sleeves and appropriate counters
