A City Championship Final will occur in each Championship City on one of the following days:
Saturday, May 12
Sunday, May 13
Saturday, May 19
Sunday, May 20
Saturday, May 26
Sunday, May 27

Cost
There is no cost to participate in the City Championship Finals
Eligibility
- In each City, the Top 8 ranked players from the City Championship Final Standings each receive an invitation to the City Championship Final. If one (or more) of the top 8 ranked players in a City Championship Final Standings already has an invitation to the 2007 U.S. National Championships, that player's invitation will pass down to the next highest-ranked, uninvited player.
- In the event one or more of the eight invited players doesn't show up to a City Championship Final, the next player(s) in the City Championship Standings is invited to play in the Finals.
Prizes
- Each City Championship awards a number of byes at Regionals and invitations to Nationals based on each City's total number of Championship Points; this is the total number of non-unique players in all of that City's City Championship Regular Season Tournaments. (See City Championship Fact Sheet and the charts at the bottom of this page for more details.)
- Each City Championship Finals winner will receive a plaque. The City Championship store location of the winner's choice (in the winner's City) will receive a plaque.
Format
- Standard Constructed format.
- Check www.thedci.com for Standard format rules.
Round Length
- 4 Swiss Rounds total plus Top 4 Single-elimination finals, 60 minutes per round
- Top 4 single-elimination finals have no time limit
- When time is called, the active player will finish the turn and five additional turns will be taken
- Stalling and slow play rules will be strictly enforced during the tournament.
Advancement
- All players may participate in all 4 Swiss rounds.
- The top 4 players after round 4 will advance to the top 4 single-elimination finals.
Top 4
- Top 4 matches will be best 2 of 3.
- Where necessary, the standings after the Swiss rounds will still be used to determine final order in the standings.
- While there are no time limits in the Top 4, players are expected to play at a reasonable pace and finish their matches within 90 minutes.
