In today’s Player's Handbook 2 preview, we introduce new feats -- including a list of all heroic tier feats!


Feats are useful tools to customize your character, covering weaknesses or enhancing strengths. The feats presented in the PH2 focus on the new races and classes in this book, but many of the feats are open to any character.

You must meet a feat’s prerequisites, if any, to take the feat. If you ever lose a prerequisite for a feat, you can’t use the feat until you meet the prerequisite again. A feat that has a class as a prerequisite is available only to members of that class, including characters who have joined the class through a class-specific multiclass feat.

Heroic Tier Feats

Any feat in this section of the PH2 is available to a character of any level who meets the prerequisites. Heroic tier feats and multiclass feats are the only feats you can take if you are 10th level or lower.

Auspicious Lineage Deva Roll d8 instead of d6 for memory of a thousand lifetimes
Blurring Claws Razorclaw shifter +2 damage with combat advantage during razorclaw shifting
Combat Medic Trained in Heal Stabilize the dying as minor action, +2 to Heal checks
Coordinated Explosion +1 to attack rolls with blast or burst if ally is in area
Distant Advantage Gain combat advantage with ranged and area attacks against flanked enemies
Echoes of Thunder +1 damage after you hit with thunder power
Expert Ritualist Ritual Caster +2 bonus to ritual skill checks
Fey Trickster Gnome Gain mage hand and prestidigitation as encounter powers
Goliath Greatweapon Prowess Goliath Gain proficiency, +2 damage with two-handed melee weapons
Gorebrute Charge Longtooth shifter +3 damage on charge attacks during longtooth shifting
Group Stealth Gnome Nearby allies gain +2 to Stealth checks
Implement Expertise +1 to attack rolls with chosen implement
Improved Bull Rush Str 13, Con 13 +4 to bull rush attacks
Improved Grab Str 13 +4 to grab attacks
Markings of the Blessed Goliath Roll twice for first saving throw each encounter
Markings of the Victor Goliath Roll twice for first attack roll each encounter
Melee Training Change ability used for melee basic weapon attacks
Oncoming Storm Hit with lightning power to gain +1 on thunder attacks
Potent Rebirth Deva +2 to attack and damage if reduced to 0 hp
Radiant Power Deva +2 damage with implement power for –2 to attack
Restful Healing Maximize healing between encounters
Savage Assault Half-orc Target of furious assault takes –1 to defenses
Shadow Skulk Gnome Stay hidden when you miss with area or ranged attack
Speed Loader Load crossbow as free action instead of minor
Surging Flame Fire-resistant target takes extra damage from fire powers
Thirst for Battle Half-orc +3 to initiative and one additional healing surge
Timely Respite Second wind or total defense grants saving throw
Two-Weapon Threat Dex 13, Two-Weapon Fighting +3 damage on opportunity attacks with two melee weapons
Weapon Expertise +1 to attacks with weapon group
Wild Senses Shifter Roll twice when following tracks, +3 to initiative
