GMs ranked Herald-Level and above can host RPGA-sanctioned events. Event hosting is a great way to make friends, share your hobby, and ensure that people are playing the games you like. Choose the event style that's right for you or offer to help someone else run a gathering. Make sure you know the guidelines for obtaining and processing adventures in your early planning stages.
RPGA-Sanctioned Adventures
The RPGA provides adventures for a variety of game systems. Ordering and reporting is completed online from your Member's page. Because there are important time constraints and event requirements concerning adventures, make sure you read Ordering Adventures, and Reporting Adventures so you can accurately plan your event.
Conventions
Conventions are the large category for gatherings. To qualify as a convention for ordering RPGA adventures, a gathering must run twenty-five or more tables of RPGA events over at least two full days. Conventions may also feature dealer rooms, auctions, seminars, workshops, award ceremonies, or other special features. If organizing a convention seems overwhelming, volunteer for an established gathering to learn the ropes and meet knowledgeable allies.
Game Days
Game days are one-day events devoted to playing games. These events can be as intimate or as large as you care to facilitate. Successful game days have four components: an event date, some games, a venue (a place to play), and people. You can order up to six RPGA adventures for each day of your event.
Home Play
Using RPGA adventures for home play can help you start a new gaming group, provide a break during an ongoing campaign, or allow you to hone your skill and confidence to GM at a game day or convention. These Adventures also give you access to some of the largest roleplaying campaigns in the world. Maybe you just want to try out a new game setting. Whatever your reasons, becoming a Herald-Level GM gives you access to a vast adventure database you can use at home.
