This year Dungeons & Dragons turns 30, and for over two-thirds of that lifetime the RPGA has brought great Dungeons & Dragons and other roleplaying experiences to Gen Con. This year's no exception! Come take part in our celebration of this adventure gaming milestone with these special events.

"Shards of Eberron" launches your characters headlong into the thrilling new D&D campaign setting, Eberron. In this year's D&D Open, authored by Eberron co-designer James Wyatt and D&D developer Andy Collins, your intrepid band of adventurers must brave the deadliest environs that Eberron has to offer, from the towering city of Sharn to the fetid Shadow Marches, from the war-torn Mournland to the steaming jungles of Xen'drik. Your goal: The recovery of three fabled dragonshards lost to the ancient mists of time, and prophesied to usher in a grand new age of Eberron. Of course, you're not the only ones hunting for these powerful relics.…

The D&D Open is the D&D tournament experience. Enter a group of six players. The best groups advance to the semi-finals and the finals. At the end of Gen Con, one group is declared the winner. Along with winning a healthy dose of gaming swag and a top-notch trophy, the winning group is invited to help design a section of the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons Campaigns: Mark of Heroes, set in Eberron.

New Guideline and PC character sheets for the 2004 D&D Open, Shards of Eberron, are now available online.

The Living Greyhawk and Legacy of the Green Regent campaigns have teamed up to bring you special events taking place within two of the greatest dungeons the D&D game has to offer. Bring your campaign characters and delve into the twisted labyrinths of two mad wizards. Surely stories of Halaster and Zagyg's cruel humors are greatly exaggerated…right?

Numerous sessions of both adventures run every slot. Four main event tables of each adventure are set aside to run games with premiere set-ups. These set-ups include pre-printed battle grids, Dwarven Forge MasterMaze dungeons, and a full array of D&D Miniatures.

In 1985 the RPGA announced the project that would eventually become Living City. Over the next 19 years, thousands of players, Dungeon Masters, and writers participated in the groundbreaking campaign that created the Living phenomena. Don't miss the exciting conclusion, "Ravens Bluff: Gateway to the Vast". This two-round, high-level adventure features 10 hours of action-packed Dungeons & Dragons play! So bring your Living City character, and make your final mark on Ravens Bluff.

This year we are offering 23 separate adventures, including Star Wars, d20 Modern, Dragonstar, Spycraft, Arcanis, and Kingdoms of Kalamar adventures. Needless to say, you can't play them all in the course of the show, there's so many great adventures offered this year, that there's surely something scheduled that'll tickle your roleplaying fancy. All games are worth double Dungeons & Dragons Rewards points, so you'll earn twice as many reward points at Gen Con Indy than you would playing at home.

With D&D Campaigns, no one is left behind. As the campaign moves forward, so does the level of play. At the launch of the campaign, players start with 1st-level characters. The first level kick bumped everyone up to a minimum of 3rd level, and now it's time to turn up the heat. At Gen Con Indy 2004, existing characters that have not yet reached the new starting level are advanced to 7th level with a base of 11,000 gp. New player (or characters) joining the game after a level kick also start at 7th level with a base of 11,000 gp. At each kick, new fastplay characters are introduced and the campaign standards are updated to reflect changes. Visit Getting Started on the Legacy of the Green Regent website for more information, or download the Campaign Standards for all the program details.
It's time again for our summer gathering. Since we only meet formally twice a year, we're looking forward sharing our plans and answering your questions.
