Hi fans. We are going to crap on you for the next 6 months by giving you nothing for your money... We're even too lazy to even properly edit the "repurposed content" we're selling you over the next couple months. Buy D&D Next, because we said so.

    Sincerely - WotC

    Dark Haven Encounter C3

Is there any purpose to the quasit in this encounter? Would not an Elite Deathpriest with the Heart be more formidable foreshadowing of the threat to the region should the PCs fail?

Another disappointment in a long line of disappointments. Both Dragon and Dungeon magazines are shadows of their former selves. There are no new retail products for 4th Edition customers, the miniatures line was cancelled, the board games have stopped - Scoundrels of Skullport was woefully underprinted - no maps, no Dungeon Tiles. The list goes on and on. I am much of a fan of Chris Perkins' work as the next guy, but as a customer, the Dungeons and Dragons brand treats me wrong. Has this team simply given up on trying to please its customers?

So what exactly are subscribers going to get when Dragon and Dungeon go dark during December? I realize that we will still have access to the Character Builder etc but really what are we paying our subs for?

SIDE BAR PAGE 39 is messed up.

It contains info for both the Legacy of Ghere Thau and Dead Haven.

While the Dawn of Night reveals the raid on Amaunator's temple in Dagger Falls as a drow-oriented prelude to a location featured two months ago – it unfortunately also features a pregenerated character name Belgos who is a drow ranger in both. Since the link to the Dungeon 218 table of contents page is currently befouled it is impossible to say if they are identical in all but background.

Way to go editors, I can see the magazines twilight already.

Coincidently I just de-automatized my subscription. It will now end in November. Actually I did it to change from the 3-month to the 12 month-schedule... What are you doing to those loyal souls that actually have a 12 month subscription and see the two monthly magazines as the biggest value of their subscription.. Ooops, sorry we fooled you?

Thanks for reminding me to cancel my auto-renew. I'd hate to have been charged $70 for a whole pile of nothing.

Is it just me, or is Chris Perkins' editorial an exact copy of the previous?

Yes it is the truly the same article. I guess they just wanted to make sure we knew that their die-hard players and loyal subscribers do not matter.

I mean what do they care the the magazines simply went from one edition to the next with nary a breath in between. What does it matter to the people who keep their business alive receive the support and adventures that kept the game viable during the intervening period between editions?

Moreover, even though they have all the 4th Edition content we need to fill the remaining issues between now and the end of the year; they must not have received enough content through our pitches to last through the interregnum of the 4th and 5th dynastic editions over the last several years. That is the difference between these Dungeons and Dragons editions must be so vast that the mindsets of the article submissions must be equally distant.

I guess that This time is different means we have to think for ourselves and de... (see all)
