Dear fans. We are going to crap on you for the next 6 months by giving you nothing for your money... We're even too lazy to even properly edit the "repurposed content" we're selling you over the next couple months. Buy D&D Next, because we said so.

    Sincerely - WotC

Am I free to assume that the hiatus discussed in the September magazines has come prematurely, and that Dragon 429, 430, Dungeon 220, and 221, are not happening?

Are we still getting the maps (and art) from Dungeon 219?

Yes. I would pay money for them too. I DM'd about a 1/3 of the seasons, so I do have some maps, but I would really like to get all of them.

I just wish they'd release Encounters Maps for our use, too. I got in a few seasons late to the DMing gig for Encounters (which got me all the maps from that point forward)... but I'd totally be willing to pay real money to get those old maps (esp the super-unique ones, like that Dark Sun huge arena). And while I'm at it, what about that Encounters-using-FLGS-only map holder mat with the magnets? I'd pay lots of money for that. Those of us that are still willing to support 4e are a great untapped monetary resource for y'all.

I have to agree with dLsd_25, thought I look forward to DnDN and mourn the loss of 4E content I still think Chris Perkins is one of the best public relations assets WotC has.

and not to butter anyone up or anything but..... maybe our void could be filled with new DM Experience articles?...... maybe?...... Please?

Chris, I doubt you're the type of person that takes the negative comments personally, but know that 99 percent of us think you're one of the best things WotC and DnD has going for it right now and we can't wait to see what's in store for us DnDNext.

Note the tone of Chris Perkin's editorial. Aside from the fact that using rodents as missile weapons is a cruel and disgusting suggestion, he's acknowledging the complaints about the magazines "going dark" by basically telling us all to take a flying leap. No doubt my comment would be edited or removed if I wrote what I think of Chris and his hubris, so I'll just stop here.

Since the trend lately is to release previous Encounters adventures, why not make available all of the previous Encounters adventures?

Four days late, with no announcement, acknowledgment, or apology? Boourns. BOOURNS.

At least they didn't retroactively change the date to make it appear like it came out on time, this time.

Glad it at least decided to come in before my subscription ran out.
