Every year since 1977, Dungeons & Dragons players have competed at the Gen Con convention for the title of Champion in the Dungeons & Dragons Championship. The Championship brings hundreds of players together to battle monsters and pit wits against traps and puzzles in a race against the clock. In the end, only one team can win.

We recently ran the D&D Championship Encounter Design Contest. Our sincere thanks to everyone who entered. We’ve since selected our five winners, and wish to congratulate them for their submissions:

Each of these contestants will receive a copy of Player’s Option: Heroes of Shadow and The Shadowfell: Gloomwrought and Beyond. In addition, in the next few months, one of our designers will work to incorporate these contestants’ encounters into the D&D Championship for this year’s Gen Con conventions.
