PAX Prime 2010 D&D Events
From the official Penny Arcade Expo website:
PAX is a three-day game festival for tabletop, videogame, and PC gamers. We call it a festival because in addition to dedicated tournaments and freeplay areas we've got nerdcore concerts, panel discussions, the weekend-long Omegathon event, and an exhibitor hall filled with booths displaying the latest from top game publishers and developers.
PAX Prime takes place in downtown Seattle, September 3–5, 2010. What's happening at PAX Prime and D&D?
The Bus Awaits
On the corner of 9th and Pine (just around the corner from the convention center) lies a carriage festooned with the fell images of monsters. Here be swag, D&D celebrities and general revelry. Jones Soda will be giving out samples all weekend. And you may also earn a coveted ticket to the Acquisitions, Inc. live D&D game! So come down Friday-Sunday to relive the adventure... all weekend long!

Acquisitions Incorporated: Prisoners of Slaughterfast
|
After surviving the Keep on the Shadowfell, the heroes of Acquisitions Incorporated recruited a new intern, the eladrin avenger Aoefel. Together they traveled to the dwarven settlement of Hammerfast and made enemies of the evil Ambershard clan. During the assault on Ambershard Manor, Aeofel plunged into a pit of acid and died, much to his companions' chagrin.
Now Aeofel is dead... or is he? Acquisitions Inc. travels beyond the Twisting Halls to learn the truth and thwart the villains responsible for Aeofel's demise. A live D&D session with "Celebrity DM" Chris Perkins, and including Mike Krahulik, Jerry Holkins, and Scott Kurtz. Seating is first come first served. The theater holds 1,200 people.

Lair of the Dread Witch

In the deep forest, a place of dark power lies, its corruptive influence seeping into the lands beyond its borders. Can you contain the threat of the dread witch, and stop her rituals before all falls into darkness? A 1st-level D&D convention delve featuring characters from the upcoming D&D Essentials line. Play as often as you like and earn tokens that can be redeemed for prizes!
1 hour per adventure.

D&D Gamma World

Pax Extraterrestria |
Catch a 4-hour preview session of the upcoming D&D Gamma World tabletop RPG—a game where the men are radioactive yetis, the women are telekinetic androids, and you never bring a floppy feet mutation to a fusion rifle fight. Come to try out the highly random character creation and defend Gamma Terra from the alien entity that seeks to destroy all the world's remaining technology. Play with the first finished copies of the game a month before its release, and make your own characters!

Explore the secrets of the new Castle Ravenloft board game as you play through one of the many adventures included. The mists of Ravenloft await, and perhaps, with a little luck and some teamwork, you can emerge from Strahd’s castle with your wits and your lives!
